Officially signing the guestbook - thanks for all the kind words @MySpace. Our great big ol' Old Time scene is really a small world, I met yer hubby with my pal Andy Cartoun a few years ago and I've been seeing you around for a long time now. Fans, friends family, fiddles. Ms. Compton, I have your CD and I just love the way you have combined all those unusual instruments like your Norwegian fiddle and the tenor guitar and octave fiddle. It gives your music a rich sound and puts a pleasantly unusual twist on "Old Time" music. Curious to see what you come out with next, keep up the good work!

All these beautiful things folks are saying about this gal..and I know SO MUCH about her, yet find no words that cover what a phenominal talent and absolute gift to this planet she is..if you are reading this and haven't checked out her album, you owe it to yourself to do so, then brace yourself for what's to come...it's gonna remind us why we ever loved music in the first place!
I have more to say, but the space is limited!!!

Thank you Ms. Compton. I so appreciate your rendition of Sheila Kay Adams version of "Black is the Color" You've done a beautiful job with this lovely ballad.

My memory ain't so good anymore, but I swear I can look back to when you were paintin' that Hoedown picture some years ago in East Nashville. It seems like some kind of perpetual summertime in my mind. I always knew you were a brilliant painter and sometimes imagined what you might sound like singing. Your musical voice is just as rich as soulful as your speaking voice. It's hard to believe that you're a relative newcomer to songwriting and fiddling. You sound as old as the hills. Some folks say that it's the most beautiful flowers that take the longest to bloom. By the way, if you end up making out to Santa Cruz, then I hope you bless Los Angeles with your presence as well.

Daniel of harv has sent me with many "harv" stickers to plaster the streets of california,
pretty soon peoples curiosity will break them and they will have no choice to surrender to the will of harv! A bit of warning: your forray into harv and your love of hardingfele could land you into a drinking bout with a certain circle, they are per anders, jon elling and anders buen, hallvard bjorgum, yuri myllarson and of course daniel sanden warg! beware!!!

Sadie,
Just found your website. I see you recorded the old tune 'When I can Read my Titles Clear'.
Olabelle is my mother and she taught me that one when I was really young. Haven't sang it in a long time but sang right with you. Great job on it and you album. You sounded a lot like her and almost fooled me. Thank you for remembering her. She passed so much of the old music on and I am very grateful she did.
Keep up the good work.

Sadie: Love your website and your music and "What an Artist"--I knew that, Myrna told me, but what a treat to see it. Great Fiddle. I love James Brian too.

A friend in Byrdstown sent us your link--here in Nashville. Since we live a few blocks from you guys, I thought it interesting to get our
news about you from Byrdstown. Who does your great pics??

Cheers!
