This tune started out being called "The Chambermaid Blues" as I wrote it when my income was made by scrubbing toilets and making beds at a hotel in Nashville, Tennessee. But when time came to record it, my daughter (4 years old at the time) said it should be called "Brother Eli" after her baby brother (2 years old at the time.) So it was.
